UFC on FOX 20: Alexander Gustafsson willing to fight Glover Teixeira on short notice -- for the right price

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is scrambling to find an opponent for the upcoming UFC on FOX 20 co-main event, now that Anthony Johnson was forced to withdraw from his Glover Teixeira fight on July 23, 2016 inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois (more on that here).

Alexander Gustafsson knows a guy who knows a guy, or something like that.

"I would easily say yes if they asked me," the towering Swede told "That is, if I get paid as I'm suppossed to, just like everyone else in the UFC that gets a nice paycheck when they step up on short notice. I'm in great shape and my training has been great these past weeks."

But he's probably the last name of Joe Silva's list.

That's because the longtime UFC matchmaker already gave "The Mauler" the opportunity to throw hands against Jan Blachowicz at the UFC Fight Night 93 event in Hamburg, Germany, set for Barclaycard Arena on Sept. 3, 2016. Rob Peter to pay Paul?

Time will tell.
