Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight Valentina Shevchenko, scheduled to fight former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm in the UFC on FOX 20 main event this July in Chicago, was caught in a wild restaurant shootout earlier this week in Peru.

The first question TMZ reporters had for promotion president Dana White, naturally, was whether or not Shevchenko -- nicknamed "Bullet" because life is funny that way -- will still be fit to compete against "The Preacher's Daughter" this summer in "The Windy City."
His words:
"She got shot at inside a restaurant, that's crazy. Then her manager pulls out a gun and starts shooting, he gets shot, that's madness! When things like that happen, it puts you in touch with your mortality and sometimes people freak out a little bit, so we'll see how it plays out."
Her coach, Pavel Fedotov, is expected to make a full recovery.
"Thank you so much dear friends for all the moral support in this very hard time that I and my family are going through," Shevchenko wrote on social media. "The act of Pavel was not only in self defense, but also the defense of my life and also of the people who were by my side!"
That place must have great fried chicken.
