Two heavy-hitting Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight strikers, Steve Bosse and Sean O'Connell, went to war last night (Sat., June 18, 2016) at UFC Fight Night 89 live on FOX Sports 1 from the TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Canada.
Bosse, a former NHL enforcer, tried to exchange with O'Connell, but the UFC vet stood strong. He dropped Bosse with nasty power lefts in the middle of the first round, but the Canadian recovered and got back to his feet.
After that, both men turned it up to 10 and participated in one of the grittiest brawls of 2016. Bosse was the more active fighter throughout all three rounds with great movement and quick precision, but O'Connell responded at every turn. It was a fight that often attracts casual fight fans into the fold, and one that won Fight of the Night honors.
In the end, it was Bosse who captured the unanimous decision win.
