Frankie Edgar has been one of the most productive fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since making his promotional debut back in 2007 at UFC 67.
The 34-year-old has seen success stretch over two highly-touted divisions, winning and defending the Lightweight title earlier in his career and most recently racking off five-straight victories at the Featherweight level, including decisive wins over Chad Mendes, Cub Swanson, and Urijah Faber.
Edgar's success, which has been paired with an exceptional ability to do what the promotion asks of him, has led him to the doorstep of another championship. Currently scheduled to take on former 145-pound king Jose Aldo at UFC 200 on July 9 for interim title rights, "The Answer" will have the opportunity to yet again rise above the rest.
But even in light of his career longevity and ongoing contender status, one of Edgar's most prized accomplishments throughout his lengthy mixed martial arts (MMA) career is undoubtedly the grand opening of his own UFC gym in North Brunswick, New Jersey.

"I get to do what I love in my community and it's just a plus," said Edgar. "I get to share my knowledge with everyone I kind of grew up with and live the same culture as they do. If I was going to do a gym, it was for sure going to be in New Jersey."
Hopefully Edgar can utilize his new found fortress of solitude to prepare for his UFC 200 matchup with Aldo, who defeated Edgar via unanimous decision back at UFC 156.
UFC 200 will be headlined by a Light Heavyweight title fight between current champion Daniel Cormier and former kingpin Jon Jones, as well as a co-main event featuring Brock Lesnar vs Mark Hunt.
