Nobody truly exepcted Michael Bisping to cash in on a 10-year dream and capture the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight strap by knocking Luke Rockhold out cold at UFC 199.
As if Bisping's perfectly-timed first-round finish wasn't surprising enough, "The Count" recently called out former UFC Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre to come out of retirement and fight him at 185 pounds. Bisping has been riding a high since winning his first UFC championship, but pointing the finger at one of the greatest of all-time was certainly an eye opener to many.
Strangely enough, it seems as if this hypothetical superfight actually has some truth behind it. In a recent interview on an episode of FOX Sports Live with Jay & Dan (shown below), Bisping stated that GSP's camp has in fact reached out to him for a potential title fight.

"I actually had some people reach out to me and say ‘Georges St-Pierre is interested in fighting you,’ and I said ‘Really?’" said Bisping. "Something that I didn't expect. Some people from his camp. I was like ‘Really? Wow. Okay. Okay…'"
Well, there you have it. Unless Bisping is completely full of it, it seems as if St-Pierre is interested in coming back to the Octagon to challenge for the 185-pound strap.
The 35-year-old retired UFC star has eluded to a return in the past, but openly stated he only wants superfights. A Middleweight title fight opposite Bisping would certainly fit the bill.
