UFC on FOX 20: Holly Holm turns down blockbuster movie role, won't make same mistake as Ronda Rousey

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion, Holly Holm, won't let anything interfere with her training as she gears up for the UFC on FOX 20 main event, which takes place on Sat., July 23, 2016 inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Not even a blockbuster Hollywood movie (like this one).

"She's focused on fighting," manager Lenny Fresquez told TMZ. "We don't want to make the same mistakes that somebody else made."

Somebody else meaning Ronda Rousey, I'm sure.

While details of the "huge movie" were not revealed, Holm turned it down so that she could keep her focus on Valentina Shevchenko. "The Preacher's Daughter" won the bantamweight crown by flattening Rousey at UFC 193, but then promptly coughed it up to Miesha Tate at UFC 196.

Whether or not a victory in the "Windy City" leads to a do-over with Rousey, or another crack at the 135-pound strap, remains to be see.
