There's no arguing that Stephen Thompson is one of the best Welterweight fighters in the world.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) knockout artist has quickly risen to mixed martial arts (MMA) with a six-fight win streak and three first-round finishes over the likes of former UFC champion Johny Hendricks, veteran Jake Ellenberger, and current Middleweight contender Robert Whittaker.
Currently scheduled to take on No. 1 ranked Welterweight Rory MacDonald at UFC Fight Night 89 on June 18 in Ottawa, Canada, "Wonderboy"will have the opportunity to capture the victory needed to challenger for a championship. He will attempt to channel his world-class Karate striking in effort to debunk MacDonald in his second promotional main event spot.
In preparation for for the UFC Fight Night 89 main event, UFC has released Thompson's full fight opposite Whittaker from UFC 170 back in 2014 (shown above). Watch as "Wonderboy" cruises to a second-round TKO victory over a guy who has now won four in a row at 185 pounds.
The victory is one Thompson's most complete outings to date and truly depicts his finishing ability atop one of the most talent-rich divisions in the game today.
