The buzz surrounding Ultimate Fighitng Championship (UFC) Featherweight kingpin Conor McGregor these days is off the charts.
Having already solidified himself as the biggest star in mixed martial arts (MMA) with a predicted knockout victory over Jose Aldo at UFC 194, McGregor has recently taken his popularity to new heights amidst an ongoing battle with the promotion regarding UFC 200.
He was also recently linked to a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr., but those rumors were nixed by UFC president Dana White.
Still, the 27-year-old Irishman is as big as anyone right now in the sports world. So much so that a fan, James O'Neal, carved an entire statue of McGregor out of a single piece of maple wood. The sculpture is quite spectacular and can be seen below:
O'Neal even went as far as putting finish on his masterpiece:
McGregor has yet to comment on the work of art, but we're to assume he'd be pleased. After all, the resemblance is uncanny.
