Former Strikeforce women's featherweight champion Cristiane Justino is done knocking around the competition in Invicta FC and will finally make her Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut, which comes in the form of a 140-pound catchweight contest against bantamweight veteran Leslie Smith.
To that end, "Cyborg" has been making the media rounds to promote her "Peacemaker" fight, taking place at the UFC 198: "Werdum vs. Miocic" pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sat., May 14, 2016, inside Arena da Baixada stadium in Curitiba, Brazil (details).
But since the power-punching Brazilian has long been attached to a Ronda Rousey fight, it was no surprise to hear the question come up during her recent visit to Power 106 in Los Angeles. Why is Justino so confident she can beat her "Rowdy" rival if and when they ever fight?
"I watched her last training," Justino said. "She was doing shadowboxing on the beach and her shadow won."
