One of the odder boxing blockbusters in recent memory will go down this Saturday evening (May 7, 2016) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, when beloved Mexican icon Saul "Canelo" Alvarez collides with English speedster Amir Khan.
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of "Canelo vs. Khan," starting with the HBO pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast this Saturday at 9 p.m. ET.
The 155-pound championship Catchweight clash has been something of a hard sell because of Alvarez's considerable size advantage and Khan's historical durability issues. Nonetheless, HBO is doing its part to drum up hype with another classic "24/7" series, the first episode of which you can see above. Even if you're not a fan of the match up, "24/7" episodes are always a fun watch, especially since it's narrated by the dulcet tones of Liev Schreiber.
The rest of the PPV will feature a Welterweight clash between prospect Frankie Gomez and spoiler Mauricio Herrera, as well as a pair of Middleweight showdowns that pit David Lemieux and Curtis Stevens against Glen Tapia and Patrick Teixeira, respectively.
