Bellator 156: Chris Honeycutt vs Mikkel Parlo joins Spike TV main card

Bellator MMA

Bellator 156 "Galvao vs. Dantas" comes to Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., on June 17, 2016. The main event that night is a bantamweight rematch between current champion Marcos Galvao and former champion Eduardo Dantas.

To bolster the main card on Spike that night, Bellator recently announced that Chris "The Cutt" Honeycutt (7-1) will move up to middleweight to take a fight with Mikkel Parlo (13-2).

Honeycutt was flawless in Bellator until he was defeated by Paul Bradley in 40 seconds in a rematch. Even though he returned to his winning ways at Bellator 153 against Matt Secor, Honeycutt will attempt a smaller weight cut and return to the class where he was once the UPC Unlimited champion.

Parlo hasn't been seen in Bellator since beating Johnny Cisneros by unanimous decision over two years ago. He was within a hair's breadth of winning a Bellator middleweight tournament but ran into a wrecking ball named Brennan Ward in the finals.

Bellator also announced two new preliminary bouts for Fresno and the updated line-up for Bellator 156 is below.
