Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier can add another accolade to his ever-growing collection after the two-time Olympian was named as Honorary Chairman of the 2016 World Cup of Freestyle Wrestling.

The event takes place inside The Forum in Los Angeles, Calif., from June 11-12.

"This is in the phase of when they are peaking for the Olympic Games, two months before the competition," Cormier said. "The foreign wrestlers will also be in peak condition. Not only will you get to see our guys at their best, but you get to see them competing against some of the best wrestlers in the world at their peak. It is very rare that we get that kind of opportunity here in the United States."

Cormier becomes the third Honorary Chairman behind award-winning actor Billy Baldwin (2014) and three-time Super Bowl champion Stephen Neal (2015).

Roughly one month after his wrestling duties are complete, "DC" will return to the Octagon in an attempt to unify the light heavyweight titles against longtime nemesis Jon Jones. They'll headline the UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sat., July 9, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
