The carnival ride continues!
With Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight king Conor McGregor back on track with UFC president Dana White after meeting with him and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta earlier this week, it now seems as if the promotion is having difficulties collaborating with the other half of the biggest rematch of 2016.
Nate Diaz, who had no trouble pulling himself off of the UFC 200 card after McGregor and the promotion publicly quarreled, also met with White this week, but ended up aggravating the UFC president to the point that White angrily rushed out of the restaurant and hopped in his SUV.
"I didn't have a good day in Stockton," said White in a recent comment to MMA Junkie.
While nothing else has been said about the meeting gone wrong, it's likely that Diaz is trying to leverage more money out of a potential rematch with McGregor following the month-long circus act between the Irishman and UFC brass.
Remember, Diaz defeated McGregor via second-round submission back at UFC 196 and has made it known that he only wants the rematch next.
