Video: Conor McGregor breaks silence, issues first comments following dinner with Dana White

Like I always say, there is no dispute that can't be resovlved over hot wings and cold beer.

But I'm working on a blogger's budget, so you can imagine how well things went when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Conor McGregor and promotion president Dana White -- along with UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta -- had dinner at the posh Montage hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Up for discussion?

When and where "Notorious" will make his mixed martial arts (MMA) return, following last month's walkout that turned the combat sports world on its head (more on that here). While we still don't know the exact details, it sounds like fences have been mended.

From ESPN:

"We have a good relationship. It is what it is. It happens. This is the fight game. Sometimes emotions get into it. But it's important to recognize that emotions have no place in business. That's essentially what it was last night. We just set it aside. There's no place for emotions in this. We are doing beautiful things. So let's continue. Let's fix it and let's continue."

I guess we'll have to put that Floyd Mayweather "super fight" on hold for the time being.

McGregor fought his way to the top of the division, capturing the featherweight crown from Jose Aldo and cementing himself as the sport's biggest star, thanks to his cage dominance and colorful personality. But then "Notorious" got greedy and tried to make some noise at welterweight, where Nate Diaz taught him a lesson in jiu-jitsu.

Not that it had any affect on his dominance, according to this list.
