Now that Cris Cyborg has a fight inside the Octagon under her belt, it seems a potential fight between her and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is closer to happening.
And Paige VanZant, for one, would love to see that bout finally go down, as she recently told TMZ Sports she's a huge fan of both.
"Just being a fight fan, I would love to see that fight. It's not my call, it's up to UFC and each fighter, but I would love to see it because I am a fan of both of them. It's a tough call, and I am not going to make that call and would rather just watch the fight."
Of course, "12 Gauge" not choosing a winner is a wise move if she was rooting for Cyborg. That's because she drew the ire of Rousey after she congratulated Holly Holm for defeating the Olympian at UFC 193 last November.
As for Cyborg, she smashed her way into an impressive UFC debut by knocking out Leslie Smith at UFC 198 last weekend (Sat., May 14, 2016) in Curitiba, Brazil (see it again here).
Still, a bout between her and "Rowdy" is a ways off, as Ronda is in no hurry to return to action. Plus, there is the small matter of Cris actually being able to make the 135-pound weight limit.
