It's good to be king.
As promised, newly-crowned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic returned to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, with 265-pounds of gold in tow. Waiting for him when he got off the plane from Brazil were legions of mixed martial arts (MMA) fans alongside news and camera crews.

"Absolutely overwhelming," Miocic wrote on Twitter before sharing another pic.

To the victor belong the spoils.
Miocic (15-2) captured the crown with a stunning, one-punch knockout win over Fabricio Werdum in the UFC 198 pay-per-view (PPV) main event last Saturday night (May 14, 2016) in Curitiba, Brazil (see it). He's likely to move on to face Alistair Overeem, or perhaps Cain Velasquez sometime later this year.
"I wanted to put an end to the curse," Miocic said after the fight. "I just wanted to go in there and do my job. I didn't carry the weight of Cleveland on my shoulders but I did want to end the curse."
