Brazilian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Athletic Commission (CABMMA) released its list of injuries and medical suspensions for those fighters competing at the UFC 198: "Werdum vs. Miocic" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place last Sat. night (May 14, 2016) inside Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.

As you might expect when half the card ends with finishes, there were a few hefty sentences.

Chief among them is Warlley Alves, who went down on points to Bryan Barberena on the UFC 198 main card and may have suffered a broken orbital bone in the process. Joining him in the potential six-month club is Yancy Medeiros, who went through hell and back with Francisco Trinaldo.

That's not all.

Here is the complete list of UFC 198 injuries and corresponding medical suspensions (via MMA Fighting):

Zubaira Tukhugov: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Renato Moicano: Suspended 21 days, 14 days no contact
Luan Chagas: Suspended 30 days, 21 days no contact
Sergio Moraes: Suspended 30 days, 21 days no contact
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Patrick Cummins: Suspended 45 days, 30 days no contact
Rob Font: Suspended 21 days, 14 days no contact
John Lineker: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Francisco Trinaldo: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Yancy Medeiros: Suspended 180 days, or 45 days with 30 days no contact if cleared
Nate Marquardt: Suspended 45 days, 30 days no contact
Thiago Santos: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Matt Brown: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Demian Maia: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Warlley Alves: Suspended 180 days, or 45 days with 30 days no contact if cleared
Bryan Barberena: Suspended 30 days, 21 days no contact
Corey Anderson: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Mauricio Rua: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Leslie Smith: Suspended 45 days, 30 days no contact
Cris Cyborg: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Vitor Belfort: Suspended 60 days, 45 days no contact
Ronaldo Souza: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact
Fabricio Werdum: Suspended 45 days, 30 days no contact
Stipe Miocic: Suspended 14 days, seven days no contact

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
