Floyd Mayweather wants UFC champ Jon Jones on his 'Money' team: 'We gotta put some things together, me and him'

Justin Bieber out. Jon Jones in?

Longtime king of the "sweet science," Floyd Mayweather, has been teasing a move to mixed martial arts (MMA). Not as a competitor, mind you, but rather as a manager and promoter of top talent. It should come as no surprise then, the learn he's already got his eye on one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.

From ESNEWS (via MMA Fighting):

"Jon Jones is with the MMA but we still gotta communicate and put some things together, me and him. We'd love Jon Jones to be a part of TMT. We steady growing. And it's not just about us making money it's about the talent winning. That's what we believe and that's why so many promoters hate us and dislike us, because we believe in the talent winning when it's all said and done."

One thing Jones knows how to do is win, no doubt about that.

Mayweather has been making headlines in recent weeks after teasing a boxing superfight against UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. The chance of that bout actually happening is about as good as me regrowing a full head of hair, but let's go ahead and play along anyway.

And perhaps even throw down a buck or two.
