Fan who clobbered Matt Brown ejected from UFC 198

Talk about a tumultuous two days for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Matt Brown.

Not only did "The Immortal" get tapped by welterweight wunderkind Demian Maia (watch it), the former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) standout was also sucker punched by his ex-coach in the street. And if that wasn't bad enough, he also got clobbered by one of the fans inside Arena da Baixada soccer stadium in Curitiba, Brazil.

Nothing he can do about the Maia submission and the parking-lot punk got a taste of street justice (more on that here). As for the slap-happy fan? He was ejected from the UFC 198 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Saturday night (May 14, 2016) and sent home.

"We identified who it was that pulled him, and we took them out of the arena," UFC Senior Vice President and General Manager of Brazil Giovani Decker told MMA Junkie. "Moving forward, we're just going to have to be extra careful, especially when the foreign fighters are walking out. But whoever it was that pulled him, we took him out of the arena."

At least Brown was a good sport about the ordeal.

Considering what can happen to fans opposing popular Brazilians, I guess we should be grateful this former fighter was able to make it out of Brazil in one piece.
