UFC 198 full video highlights: Stipe Miocic wins UFC heavyweight title with one-punch finish of Fabricio Werdum

There is a new Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion and his name is Stipe Miocic.

In front of 45,000 screaming Brazilian fans, the Ohio fireman knocked out Fabricio Werdum Saturday night (May 14, 2016) at UFC 198 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil, with one single punch.

After a quick feeling out period, Werdum began to rush Miocic alongside the cage with a fairly sloppy combination. Miocic hung back in his retreat and launched a perfectly timed right hand, supplanting the Brazilian on his face and the crowd in their seats.

The full video highlights can be seen above.

With this victory, yet another UFC Heavyweight champion is unable to defend the title. If Miocic can continue to strike his way past the best in the world, with Alistair Overeem most likely next in line, he could end the divisional curse and defend the belt more than twice.
