Nice shots landed by @Bryan_Barberena! The huge underdog is showing he's no pushover! #UFC198 https://t.co/MRHviO7Y4m

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Bryan Barberena continued his winning ways at UFC 198 tonight (Sat., May 14, 2016) live on pay-per-view (PPV) from the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.
The man who last defeated Sage Northcutt back at UFC on FOX 18 outlasted a previously undefeated Warlley Alves. He did so on the back of relentless pressure, timely leg kicks, crisp elbows in the clinch, and an all-around toughness that allowed him to power through brutal body kicks by the Brazilian.
Barberena did just enough to get past Alves, earn a unanimous decision win, and become the first non-Brazilian to win at UFC 198. The action can be seen here:

The victory certainly raises some eyebrows about Barberena's potential moving forward. He has truly come into his own over his last two outings and certainly proved he's capable of a top 15 opponent the next time around.
