Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum steps inside the cage tonight (Sat., May 14, 2016) against Stipe Miocic at UFC 198 from the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil. He will look to defend his title for the first time in front of 40,000 screaming Brazilian fans.
The main card will also feature matchups between Vitor Belfort vs. Ronaldo Souza, Cris Cyborg vs. Leslie Smith, Mauricio Rua vs. Corey Anderson, and Warlley Alves vs. Bryan Barberena. But before the main card begins a portion of the event's "Prelims" undercard will take place on Fight Pass starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Find out what happened right here as the "Prelims" recaps roll in live:
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Patrick Cummins
In a matchup between ranked Light Heavyweight contenders, Nogueira (22-7) tested his world-class boxing skills against the powerful wrestling of Cummins. While Cummins (8-4) did land some solid lower leg kicks to begin the first round, "Lil Nog" blasted the wrestler with a powerful right hand and instantly staggered him. After landing countless left hooks to a stumbling Cummins, the Brazilian captured a huge TKO victory in front of his wild home crowd. With the win, Nogueira stays afloat in the 205-pound division heading into the second half of 2016.

It was a good showing for the 22-year-old Chagas (14-1-1) in his UFC debut, as he was taking the fight on just two weeks notice. He even landed a vicious head kick in the first round (shown below) that nearly ended the fight. But after blowing his wad with early power punches, Chagas turned the fight over to Moraes (10-2-1), who was able to control the youngster on the mat for the final 10 minutes. However, despite seemingly doing enough to earn a victory, Moraes saw his late-fight efforts go to waste as the judges ruled the contest a draw. The early-fight head kick by Chagas was probably the leading factor in the decision.
OOHHHHHHHH!!! What a head kick by Chagas!! #UFC198 https://t.co/JZ7D4wmyZB

Renato Moicano vs. Zubaira Tukhugov
In a fairly competitive back-and-forth affair, undefeated Brazilian submission specialist Moicano (10-0-1) did just enough to get past the hard striking of Russian powerhouse Tukhugov (18-4). At times, Moicano was incapable of utilizing his reach, allowing Tukhugov to threaten with looping power shots and lunging combinations. Tukhugov was also able to defend very well in transition on the ground. But it was Moicano's third-round effort, fueled by cage control and versatile offensive outbursts, that earned him the split-decision win. He remains undefeated in his professional MMA career.
These two are going AT IT!! What a close fight. Who do you guys have winning? #UFC198 https://t.co/ukwxtat9T6
