Video: Fans run wild at Rebook store for Khabib Nurmagomedov meet-and-greet

There's no denying that mixed martial arts (MMA) is the fastest growing sport in the world. Besides soccer, it may already be the most acknowledged international platform in sports.

But sometimes, even despite how good it must feel to get the support of the masses, sports fans take it a little too far. Just ask undefeated Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight title contender Khabib Nurmagomedov, who recently saw his Rebook meet-and-greet get taken over by a swarming hoard of 3,000 Moscow fight fans (video shown above).

After the unexpected turn of events, "The Eagle" took to Instagram to deliver his candid reaction:

Being aware of the fact, that many fans looking to meet me, take pictures and autograph, together with @reebok we set this meeting. But we didn’t expect that many fans to come, more than 3000 people.
Want to deliver this message to all of my fans, please keep yourself under control next time. I’m sorry that I left meeting, but situation went out of control.

This Beatles-like reception is absolutely crazy. Here in America, most fans probably couldn't even spell Nurmagomedov, let alone be okay with overturning an entire store just to see the 27-year-old.

It may be time for the promotion to seriously think about having Nurmagomedov compete overseas.
