GFL Preview: Top 5 fights to watch on Go Fight Live this weekend

Chris Mickle looks to be itching for a fight.

The Iowa native looks to continue his dominate win streak as he heads into Ascendancy FC 9 at 30-19-2. Gofightlive.tv is where you can catch the action this weekend with a simple click of a button.

Once again, as a gift to MMAmania readers, GFL is offering 20% off any event, using the exclusive coupon code GFLMania.

Let's not forget that Ascendancy FC 9 isn't the only action going on this weekend; so without further ado let's take a look at the top five fights to watch on GFL this week.

5. Chris Mickle vs. Luis Saldana- Ascendancy FC 9

Mickle isn't going to be walking out of the Ascendancy cage unscathed this weekend, as he's going up against a tenacious fighter in Luis Saldana.

Although Saldana's experience level is not up to par with Mickle just yet, he has finished all nine of his professional victories, making him a very dangerous and intriguing prospect.

As if this bout wasn't exciting enough, the Ascendancy Featherweight title will be up for grabs in the main event of the evening.

It will be great to see whether or not this fight can catapult either man closer to a UFC appearance.

4. James Terry vs. Buddy Wallace - Conquer Fighting Championships 2

In what should be a scintillating main event at Conquer Fighting Championships, James Terry and Buddy Wallace will go toe-to-toe in a battle of attrition.

After a quick submission loss by the hands of Nick Barnes at Bellator 147, Terry looks to redeem himself after his lack luster performance. The Welterweight contender is looking to punish Wallace in ways that may not be deemed appropriate to discuss here.

Of course, Wallace will be no easy task to walk over, as he will walk into the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, CA sporting an impressive 11-5 record.

Although Wallace is coming off a loss in his last bout in WCFC against Max Griffin -- who's a gifted fighter in his own right -- Wallace is on a road to redemption.

Both fighters are starving for a win. Who's going to come out on top?

3. Artur Rofi vs. Francisco Isata- XCC 24

This match up is definitely the dark horse of weekend.

Artur Rofi is coming into the ring with a 6-1 record, having finished all six of his professional victories.

The last time Rofi was in action was September 2013, where he suffered a loss against future champ Rick Glenn at a WSOF event. After more than a two-year hiatus, Rofi looks to pick things up by returning to the win column.

Isata may have different plans though, as he hopes to send Rofi back into the shadows with another loss. Folks, Isata's record isn't something to scoff at either; At 7-2, Isata is just as dangerous on the mat as he is on the feet.

The audience at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem PA are in store for a treat. Don't blink during this one!

2. Corey Turner vs. Aaron Thomson- TUFF-N-UFF: The Future Stars of MMA

The Tuff-N-Uff main event will feature two relatively green a fighters in Corey Turner and Aaron Thomson.

Turner, who's currently sporting a 2-2 record, hopes to distinguish himself as a top tier contender for possibly a Middleweight title bout. Thomson, on the other hand, has made quite some noise since starting his MMA career as he's currently holding onto a 5-0 record.

Thomson had quite the convincing win at Power Promotions against TJ Evans, winning via submission in under two minutes.

Can Thomson neutralize Turner the same way? Or will Turner finally knock him down a peg and hand him his first career loss?

We shall see.

1. Nick Kraus vs. Andrew Kapel- Hoosier Fight Club 28

Now we've reached the meat and potatoes of this weekend's festivities.

Nick Kraus is a wily veteran with a 10-3 record, featuring eight finishes. The 28 year old is currently on a two fight winning steak with his most recent win coming against Muhammad Abdullah, which ended up being a compelling match up that went down to the wire.

Andrew Kapel doesn't look to be intimidated by this match up at all, as he hopes to walk out of the Horseshoe Hammond Casino in Hammond, IN as the victor for the 10th time.

Following his jaw-dropping KO over Brandon Hunt at KOTC Bear Brawl last November, Kapel is looking to produce another highlight-reel finish.

Nick Kraus could potentially be the next face fans will see in the UFC. Will Kapel play spoiler?

Tune in this weekend to find out.
