So much as been made about the return of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
As arguably the greatest pound-for-pound mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter of all time, the New Yorker commands a spotlight ultimately unseen in the sport (unless you're name is Conor McGregor). And even though he will not be fighting current Light Heavyweight titleholder Daniel Cormier in a rematch at UFC 197 tomorrow night (Sat., April 23, 2016) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jones will attempt to fend off hungry rising contender Ovince Saint Preux, who has proven to be a bona fide finisher throughout his nine-fight UFC career.
At the end of the day, Jones' return is bigger than any opponent. After getting caught up in a hit-and-run incident in April of 2015, then getting stripped of his 205-pound title in the process, the 28-year-old is on a path to redemption.
In the above video, courtesy of Fancy MMA, Jones was seen having an intimate moment inside of the Octagon earlier tonight (Fri., April 22, 2016). Most of us have no idea what Jones may have been feeling in such an emotional moment, but it's safe to say the greatest of all time has found his way home.
