GFL Preview: Top 5 fights to watch on Go Fight Live this weekend

Folks, Sam Franchi is here and he's ready for a fight!

This Canadian native looks to keep his streak alive as he heads into Hard Knocks 49 undefeated. is where you can catch the action this weekend with a short click.

Once again, as a gift to MMAmania readers, GFL is offering 20% off any event, using the exclusive coupon code GFLMania.

Let's not forget that Hard Knocks 49 isn't the only action going on this weekend, so without further ado let's take a look at the top five fights to watch on GFL this week.

5. Samuel Franchi vs. Sambath Khun- Hard Knocks FC 49

I've mentioned earlier about Franchi's undefeated streak, but he'll face a real test in Sambath Khun this weekend. This fight should be rather interesting given the fact that Khun only has one loss on his record, and he's proven to be a tough out.

As amateurs, both fighters are still very green, but have shown a ton of potential inside the cage.

With Hard Knocks recently sending fighters over to the big leagues, Franchi and Khun have a great opportunity to put on a show that UFC brass may very well be watching.

With two of the best prospects set to face off for the Bantamweight title this weekend, expect these two Canadian natives to go to war in what very well could be the "Fight of the Night."

4. Ian Heinisch vs. Jeremy Spelts - Sparta Combat League AVM 7

The Sparta Combat League Middleweight title is on the line this weekend on GFL, featuring an undefeated prospect that should not be looked over.

Ian Heinisch is 5-0 in his professional MMA career, and that doesn't include the three submission victories "The Hurricane" accrued as an amateur.

The Colorado native last fought in the World Series of Fighting, defeating Tyler Vogel via unanimous decision, and now he returns to his hometown to fight for gold.

Heinisch won't have it easy, however, as he takes on the dangerous Jeremy Spelts. Don't let his 3-2 record fool you, as Spelts has reeled off two straight finish victories to position himself to fight for a title.

Will the prospect take home the belt, or will the underdog pull off another finish?

3. Samantha Gilliland vs. Miranda Maverick- Sparta Combat League AVM 7

This is a match up that may be the sleeper of the weekend.

Both Gilliland and Maverick will both walk into the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, CO as undefeated amateurs fighting for the Flyweight title. Maverick is merely 18 years old, but has already picked up five straight finish victories.

As for Gilliland, six straight victories have earned her the Bantamweight title and has set her up to fight for the 125-pound title this weekend.

This will be an impressive match up to look forward to this weekend, featuring potential future UFC stars.

2. Roberto Rojas vs. Cliff Wright- Dynasty Combat Sports 25: Spring Brawl

These two fighters are walking into the ring looking for blood.

Rojas has been looking for a way to redeem himself after his previous loss in Resurrection Fighting Alliance by the hands of Zach Juusola. On the other hand, Wright is walking in with a 9-7-0 record after a convincing win in his previous bout on True Form Entertainment against Tom Shoaff earlier this year.

Both men have proven to fight for a finish or be finished, so expect a war.

Who will come out on top?

1. Taylor Moore vs. Johnny Bedford- WXC 63

The Warrior Xtreme Cage Fighting main event this weekend features a blue chip prospect name Taylor Moore, who's walking into the ring with a record of 2-0. Moore is in for quite the task, as his opponent, UFC veteran Johnny Bedford walks in with a record of 20-12-1.

Talk about a difficult third professional fight...

Not only are the two fighters' experience levels not on equal par, but Bedford's also coming off of a vicious fifth round knockout over Josh Robinson in WXC.

With all the cards seemingly stacked against him, it will be interesting to see if Moore can pull off the upset.
