Fedor Emelianenko won't be drug tested for his Fabio Maldonado fight because no one cares

Wait until Joe Rogan hears about this.

Fight Nights promoter Kamil Gadzhiev does not drug test athletes prior to any of his mixed martial arts (MMA) events, so do not expect him to make any exceptions for Fedor Emelianenko or Fabio Maldonado, who collide on June 17, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

In fact, it never even crossed his mind.

"No, we did not think about it," Gadzhiev told Tass.ru (via Bloody Elbow).

Emelianenko insists he's never done steroids or taken any sort of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) throughout his storied combat sports career, a career that was resurrected earlier this year (at the expense of this guy) under the Rizin banner.

With continued success on the international circuit, there may be a chance the "Last Emperor" finds his way over to UFC before calling it quits (again). Then again, there always seems to be something in the way of getting the big names to come back.
