UFC 197: Daniel Cormier blasts Jon Jones for questioning legitimacy of fight-canceling injury

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Jon Jones recently took Daniel Cormier to task by questioning the extent of the injury which forced "DC" out of their much-anticipated rematch, which was all set for UFC 197 on Sat., April 23, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to "Bones," the rumor mill was indicating that Cormier wasn't really injured, but rather hurt, something Jon says a fighter can and should compete through.

Upon hearing that statement, Cormier went to Twitter (via FOX Sports) to blast his bitter rival by citing numerous instances in which Jones pulled out of fights.

Speaking of UFC 151, Jones recently revealed he decided to break protocol and accept a last-minute fight against Ovince Saint Preux as a way to make up for the debacle.

And don't expect "Bones" to underestimate the underdog, as the winner of the interim title fight at UFC 197 will earn the opportunity to face Cormier in a title unification match later this year.

Perhaps here.
