After losing three straight in Bellator MMA, former Light Heavyweight kingpin Emanuel Newton returned to the regional scene in Medicine Hat, Canada in order to return to the win column in a tuneup fight.
"The Hardcore Kid" took on Matt Baker, and expectedly dominated the fight from the initial bell, en route to a beautiful arm-triangle choke submission three minutes into the second frame.
Our friends at GoFightLive.tv streamed the full event -- which also featured UFC veteran Cody McKenzie -- and placed Newton in their most recent top five highlights, which you can watch in the video above.
For those wondering whether or not Newton was cut from Bellator, sources in close connection to the promotion mentioned that the former Light Heavyweight champ was in fact not cut, but was allowed to take the fight for Z Promotions.
