Video: Combate Americas celebrates move to UFC Fight Pass

Combate Americas, the first U.S. Hispanic mixed martial arts (MMA) sports franchise in history, was founded by UFC co-creator Campbell McLaren and integrates prominent Hispanic celebrities such as Daddy Yankee, Alberto Del Rio, Cynthia Olavarria into its television programming.

Its weekly live event series launches on NBC Universo and UFC Fight Pass on Monday, April 18, 2016 featuring rising stars such as John "Sexy Mexy" Castaneda (9-2), Ricky "El Gallero" Palacios (5-1 MMA, 2-0-1 pro boxing), Miesha Tate and Bryan Caraway protégé Gustavo Lopez (5-1), Team Alpha Male's Erick Sanchez (6-2) and Jenny "The Phoenix" Silverio (4-1).

"We are thrilled to add Combate Americas to UFC Fight Pass' ever-growing list of live-event and on-demand offerings," said UFC Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer Marshall Zelaznik. "MMA fans can expect tremendous fights featuring up-and-coming Hispanic talent."

The UFC Fight Pass deal includes but is not limited to eight events for 2016.
