Michael Chiesa relentless in submitting Beneil Dariush at UFC on FOX 19

In epic fashion, former TUF winner Michael Chiesa built on his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) resume by submitting grappling expert and budding Lightweight contender Beneil Dariush via second-round rear naked choke tonight (Sat., April 16, 2016) at UFC on FOX 19.

It is Chiesa's fifth finish by way of submission since making his promotional debut back in 2012, and extra impressive considering how good Dariush is on the ground. The fact that "The Maverick" was also able to power through blistering first-round leg kicks adds to his smooth performance.

At 28 years of age, Chiesa is finally beginning to come into his own. He now owns a three-fight win streak in one of the toughest divisions in the game, and just handed Dariush his first defeat by way of stoppage in his career.

In his post-fight interview, Chiesa challenged divisional title threat Tony Ferguson to a showdown this summer.
