Who won Pacquiao vs Bradley 3 last night? 'PacMan' drops 'Desert Storm' twice to take rubber match

After 12 entertaining, competitive rounds, Manny Pacquiao secured his second official victory over Timothy Bradley via unanimous decision last night (Sat., April 9, 2016) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two started the HBO Boxing pay-per-view (PPV) main event rather tentatively, trading punches at range near the center of the ring. Bradley (33-2-1, 13 KO) found some early success with counters during the low-output stretch, going tit-for-tat with the Filipino legend. That was the issue, however. He went tit-for-tat with Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KO), a man with a long and storied history of knocking heads.

Pacquiao's power began to assert itself around the fourth round, although Bradley continued to box well and look for counters among Pacquiao's signature blitzes. In the seventh, Pacquiao fired off a three-punch combination that forced an off-balance Bradley to touch the mat with his gloves for a count. He fought back well in the seventh, landing a pair of left hooks on the ropes that had Manny in full retreat, only to go down hard from a series of left hands one round later.

Bradley turned the heat back on in the last two rounds, but the deficit was simply too much to overcome. Pacquiao took home the decision on three scores of 116-110 (see scorecard pic here), with both and Bad Left Hook had it 115-111 for "PacMan."

Both men fought well, fought intelligently, and fought passionately. In the end, however, Pacquiao's speed, power and combinations reigned supreme. The post-fight interview saw Pacquiao hint heavily at retirement. It also saw him and Bradley make breakfast plans, which was nice to see.

The fight was a fitting end to a solid card that saw Jose Ramirez turn away the gritty Manny Perez, Oscar Valez obliterate Evgeny Gradovich and Gilberto Ramirez shut out Arthur Abraham for the WBO Super Middleweight Championship.
