Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White wants former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to know that talking back to the police -- and calling them despicable pigs -- has no upside, especially when you're already on thin ice.
"Bones," who felt like he was wrongly accused of drag racing, did it anyway.
"There's no upside to talking back to the police. It's the dumbest thing you can ever do, especially if you're in Jon Jones' position," White told TMZ Sports. "I don't think Jon Jones is ever going to be the Jon Jones that people expect him to be. Jon is gonna do Jon. I think that Jon tried so hard to play the good guy for so long, it drove him crazy. And Jon is just gonna be Jon now."
If Jones has been playing the good guy these past few years, I would hate to see the bad guy.
Now that his legal matters are behind him, Jones can move on to challenge Daniel Cormier for the 205-pound strap in the main event of the UFC 197 pay-per-view (PPV), locked and loaded for April 23, 2016 inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
