Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight No. 1 contender, Cat Zingano, didn't appear to be in any big hurry to step foot back inside the Octagon following her submission loss to Ronda Rousey at UFC 184 back in February 2015.
Then Miesha Tate went and captured the division crown from Holly Holm (see it again here).
Now, Zingano is practically stepping on babies to get to UFC President Dana White, urging him to book their women's bantamweight rematch. But moving "Alpha" to the head of the class would require Rousey to remain shacked up in her Tinseltown trailer.
Hey @RondaRousey you got to beat her up twice already, I want 2 too. Lets fight over the belt when it's mine @ufc pic.twitter.com/FRFqIfREMX

You'd want to avenge that "controversial" loss right, champ? @MieshaTate @ufc @danawhite pic.twitter.com/e8s1HhAseM

Message received. Loud and clear.
While not an automatic disqualification, No. 3-ranked Zingano -- who stopped Tate amid mild controversy in 2013 -- is coming off a loss and has not competed for over a year, so it's not unreasonable to think she needs to compete at least once before getting another title shot. And I can think of another top contender coming off a loss.
Anyone down for Zingano vs. Holm?
