Miesha Tate: Ronda Rousey more worried about having babies with Travis Browne than making UFC comeback

New, comments

Good to see someone is FINALLY thinking about the children.

Newly-crowned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate may not be able to beat longtime nemesis Ronda Rousey, but that doesn't mean she can't spend the next few months making her life miserable.

"Cupcake" can troll with the best of them.

While UFC President Dana White insists "Rowdy" is next in line for a crack at the crown, Tate is not convinced that Rousey has the motivation required to get her fight on. Especially when her beau and UFC heavyweight Travis Browne wants to be a father.

From TMZ:

"I know Ronda's not slated to come back until November and that's kind of a long time to just sit and be idle. Now that I'm the champion I feel like I have unlimited energy. I don't even know what she's thinking right now. It seems like her motivation to stick around was to have Travis Browne's baby, so... I don't know. That doesn't sound like a very motivated comeback. Every time I've ever lost my motivation was to get back up on the horse and fight someone again and work my way back to the top."

Comments like this may certainly help get Rousey motivated, after last year's knockout loss and subsequent mommy revelation (read it here).

Tate won the 135-pound crown with a thrilling submission win over Holly Holm at the UFC 196 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada (recap), the fifth straight win for "Cupcake" since falling to Rousey for a second time at UFC 168.

Third time's the charm? That may depend on the virility of "Hapa" and his albino tadpoles.
