Despite a dramatic fifth round submission victory for Miesha Tate over bantamweight champion Holly Holm in the co-main event of UFC 196 tonight (Sat., March 5, 2016), most fans suspected she likely snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with the judges.

And according to the official scorecard, those fans would be right. All three judges had it the same way headed into the fifth and final round, giving Tate only the second round and Holm the first, third and fourth.

Despite the 3-1 lead on the scorecards the fifth round was still an opportunity to score a draw in a decision, as all judges had awarded Tate the second round by a 10-8 margin.

Here's how cageside judges Chris Lee, Marcos Rosales and Glenn Trowbridge had it (source from Twitter):

If Tate had secured Holm's back but been unable to finish it's possible she could have scored a 47-47 draw.

The judges weren't needed, however, as Tate scored the miracle submission win to claim the bantamweight belt, a title she had sought after for a long time.
