UFC 196 drug test results released for 'McGregor vs Diaz'

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was not using a "substance" at UFC 196, just like lightweight standout Nate Diaz was not smoking weed from his personalized bong.

In fact, all fighters drug tested ahead of the "McGregor vs. Diaz" pay-per-view (PPV) event earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada -- including co-headliners Holly Holm and Miesha Tate -- returned negative results following their mixed martial arts (MMA) contests in "Sin City."

That's according to the tag team of Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) and United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). The former drug tested 18 combatants from UFC 196, while the latter targeted the remaining six, including the main and co-main event fighters.

MMA Fighting brought word of the results on Monday.

UFC 196 featured a night of upsets, as Diaz strangled McGregor into submission, not long after Tate choked out Holm to capture the women's bantamweight crown.
