Dan Kelly put together an incredible comeback when he rallied in the third round of his middleweight contest against Antonio Carlos Jr. on the UFC Fight Night 85 main card last night (Sat., March 19, 2016).
The Judo practitioner lost the opening round to the Brazilian grappling ace and was held in check, but the proud Aussie got his revenge and planted some well-placed fists in the latter's face towards the end of round two.
Kelly's rally continued into the third round where he was able to bring the fight to the mat. Using his smothering pressure, he controlled his 26-year-old opponent every which way he went.
The 38-year-old would eventually bust open Carlos Jr., earning himself the third-round TKO finish in front of a raucous crowd. Kelly moves to 11-1 (4-1 UFC), while Carlos Jr. drops to 5-2-1 NC in his career.
