Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will be looking to hold on to his Top-10 status in the 265-pound division when he collides with the dangerous New Zealander Mark Hunt in the UFC Fight Night 85 main event tomorrow night (Sat., March 19, 2016) inside Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia.
Mir, a renowned Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, went 2-1 in 2015, which includes a knockout win over Todd Duffee at UFC Fight Night 71 last July.
The Las Vegas native stormed into the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California, on the eve of a knockout over Antonio Silva just a few months prior.
As you can see from the embedded full fight video, Mir packs a whole lot more in his arsenal than just his supreme ground skills. The 36-year-old traded haymakers with Duffee until the latter was sent packing via a wild left hook.
Can he defeat Hunt where he is the strongest? We shall see in a little over 24 hours.
