Victor Ortiz vs Andre Berto 2 set for April 30 at StubHub Center

One of the current decade's better fights will get a sequel after five long years as Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto lead a April 30th Premier Boxing Champions tripleheader on FOX and FOX Deportes, according to L.A. Times.

The main card, set for StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., will also feature a light heavyweight clash between Edwin Rodriguez and Thomas Williams Jr., plus former three-division champion Fernando Montiel taking on Jorge Lara at featherweight.

Both Ortiz (31-5-2, 24 KO) and Berto (30-4, 23 KO) have experienced profoundly odd careers since Ortiz took home a unanimous decision back in 2011. The two were originally set for an immediate rematch before Berto tested positive for nandrolone, a result that further investigation attributed to contamination.

Ortiz went on to get knocked out by Floyd Mayweather Jr. after a hug attempt gone wrong, got his jaw broken by an undersized Josesito Lopez, and then seemingly quit after a decent punch from Luis Collazo. He's since competed on Dancing with the Stars, beaten two journeymen, and been arrested for assaulting someone at a Kenny Chesney concert.

Berto, meanwhile, is 2-3 in his last five, one of those wins over the aforementioned Lopez. That stretch also included getting turned into E.T. by Robert Guerrero and fighting Jesus Soto Karass with one arm before eventually getting sparked by a left hook. Despite that, he had the honor of being Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s final opponent and, like so many others before him, failed to accomplish anything of note against "Money."

Like I said, odd.

It's not a card with divisional implications, but it looks like a whole lot of fun. Plus, there's no UFC event that day and it's free, so what have you got to lose?
