Jon Jones: Anderson Silva definitely still has it, BUT ...

If you want to win a five-round fight, especially against a gamer like Michael Bisping, it takes a real effort.

Just ask Anderson Silva.

"The Spider" may have given away his bout against Michael Bisping at the UFC London event last weekend across the pond, simply because he only came alive when it was convenient. In other instances, Silva failed to capitalize on golden opportunities.

Like the flying knee in round three (video).

"I saw many glimpses of greatness during that fight," Jon Jones wrote on Twitter. "He definitely still has it, I wish Anderson would have just stayed aggressive the whole time, he would have won."

Jones and Silva are friends -- and mutual fans -- dating back several years.

Silva (33-7, 1 NC) once ruled the middleweight division without equal, but is now winless across his last four fights. His lone victory during that span -- a decision over Nick Diaz at UFC 183 -- was changed to a no contest after "The Spider" flunked his drug test.

Is it time to start talking about retirement ... or not yet?
