You'll have to forgive Luke Rockhold if he sounds impartial in his prediction of the upcoming UFC Fight Night 84 main event today (Sat., Feb. 27, 2016) between Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping.
The current middleweight titleholder bested "The Count" via guillotine choke in the second round of a Nov. 2014 bout. However, Rockhold was surprisingly undecided when giving his commentary on what could go down inside O2 Arena in London, England in just a couple of hours.
Have a peak at his thoughts on the matchup below and in the above video:
"We'll see what Anderson shows up. I've seen some build-up. He looks like he's in a good headspace. I give Anderson a big advantage in the stand-up realm with his length and diversity, his power. With that being said, I think if Bisping implements the right fight, I think he can run away with this one later on. Anderson didn't look his best against Nick Diaz. He's had a long layoff."
Well there you have it.
Though Rockhold is expected to draw Chris Weidman in a rematch of their UFC 194 co-main event sometime this June, the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) product will be a keen spectator as both "The Spider" and Bisping could move themselves into 185-pound title contention with an impressive showing.
Stay tuned.
