Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones are never short on providing mixed martial arts (MMA) fans the laughs they so desire over social media.
Some might say they've been acting a little too child-like. But that's not for me to decide.
What we are here to discuss today is the ongoing feud between light heavyweight rivals of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Cormier, the current 205-pound king, has been slotted to run it back with the former champion "Bones" in a rematch of their UFC 182 title clash 14 months ago.
Much has transpired between now and then, but the former pound-for-pound star Jones has been cleared of any legal matters -- thankfully -- that might suspend his efforts to regain the light heavyweight belt.
That means, from now until their UFC 197 pay-per-view (PPV) headliner, which takes place April 23, 2016 inside MGM Grand in Las Vegas, both "DC" and Jones can revert back to playing social media patty cake.
Have a look at their most recent Twitter dust-up that took place last night (Thurs., Feb. 25, 2016). Screenshots courtesy of MMA Fighting.

It all started because of an innocent meme the Jackson-Wink MMA representative Jones published on his Twitter account earlier this week, which Cormier eventually caught wind of.
Cormier's response ultimately led to more trash talk and the former attacking Jones' sobriety.
As long as their pre-fight jousting takes place on social media, I'm sure that UFC will no longer have nightmares of this.
In recent months, Jones could be seen hitting the gym in an effort to pack on muscle for his second tilt with the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) product Cormier, who believes his effort to gain more mass will play into his downfall come April 23.
Cormier, meanwhile, has already made one successful defense of the vacant title he won against Anthony Johnson last May by defeating two-time title challenger Alexander Gustafsson via unanimous decision at UFC 192.
You can bet the part-time FOX Sports analyst is amped for this highly anticipated showdown.
