If you were watching the completely wacky Bellator 149 main card and found yourself in disbelief at the dreadfully unentertaining co-main event (recap) between former Floridian street brawlers turned mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters wannabes Kimbo Slice and Dhafir "Dada 5000" Harris, chances are Joe Rogan was also watching somewhere nodding his head in agreement.
The UFC commentator took to Twitter to voice his frustration at the embarrassment going down inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas last night (Fri., Feb. 19, 2016).
This might be the worst fight I've ever seen
— Joe Rogan (@joerogan) February 20, 2016
What was originally billed as an emotionally-driven grudge match between ex-friends turned about to be a contest that would see whose lungs could take in more oxygen. Seriously, it was that bad.
Slice, a former UFC combatant, took command of portions of their heavyweight exchange (video), mixing in haymakers with brutal ground and pound. The American Top Team (ATT) representative took the wind out of the sails of Dada by round three, earning the nod via technical knockout exhaustion 92 seconds into the frame.
Dada, who dropped to 2-1 in his MMA career, was carried off on a stretcher. He was then given oxygen backstage, before then being transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.
Slice, whose birth name is Kevin Ferguson, improves to 6-2.
