UFC 206 results: Max Holloway vs Anthony Pettis live stream play-by-play updates

After a brief pit stop on Fight Pass, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the pay-per-view (PPV) market this Saturday night (Dec. 10, 2016) with UFC 206: "Holloway vs. Pettis," taking place inside Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

That's where UFC featherweight contenders Max Holloway and Anthony Pettis will collide for the interim 145-pound strap, which will then be unified against current titleholder Jose Aldo in early 2017.

In the UFC 206 PPV co-main event, longtime lightweight "Cowboy," Donald Cerrone, continues his unrelenting assault on the welterweight ranks opposite "Immotal" 170-pound slugger Matt Brown.

They exchange right hands. Right from Holloway, head kick attempt from Pettis. Holloway goes low-high. Counter right. Solid right by Pettis. One minute to go. Holloway leg kick and a powerful left hook. Pettis advancing. 1-2 from Holloway. Lead right lands for Pettis, right hand comes back. Anotehr counter right by Holloway and a 1-2. Brown catches a front kick, lands a right hand. Left hook connects. Cerrone leg kick. Brown jacks his head back with a jab. Another head kick from Cerrone and Brown drops him with a right hand. Brown on the attack, ripping to the head and body. Brown stuffs another takedown. Counter right from Brown. Body shot. Cerrone lands a head kick and drops Brown in return. Foot sweep by Brown, doesn't follow him there. Brown lands an elbow and Cerrone's left eye does not look god. They exchange right hands and Brown may be hurt, backing off. Two minutes to go.

Cerrone popping out his jab. Cerrone to the body, right cross upstairs. Brown's right eye is a mess. Lead right lands for him and Cerrone comes back with another head kick that lands clean. Round 3: They're both fired up. Brown hits a takedown, Cerrone pops back up. Left hook lands for Cowboy. Heavy counter right has Brown backing up. HUGE HEAD KICK AND MATT BROWN IS OUT! He'd landed it all night and it finally landed perfectly.

145 lbs.: Cub Swanson vs. Dooho Choi

Round 1: Early counter right for Choi and knees to the body when Swanson ties up. He snaps Swanson down and lands hard knees to the head. Low kick lands for Swanson. Counter left hook lands for Swanson. One minute in. Good right hand lands for the American. 2-3 from Choi, overhand right from Choi. Cub looks for a high kick, misses a wheel kick, lands a leg kick. Right hands from Choi hit home and they engage in the clinch. More rights from Choi. Two minutes in. Lead right from Swanson. Uppercut from Choi and he grabs the front headlock. Wanson pops his head out and Choi carries him to the fence. Two minutes to go.

Swanson reverses position and knees his legs. Good knee upstairs by Swanson, who pops back up from a foot sweep. Fancy kicks by a smiling Swanson. Choi cracks him with a jab. Hard straight right to the body with a minute to go. Body kick by Swanson. 1-2 by Swanson. Swanson looks for a single-leg and eats a knee before the bell. 10-9 Choi.

Round 2: They get right back to throwing hands. Left hook from Swanson and a good flurry. Body shots from Swanson in the clinch. Counter right lands for Choi. One minute in. Choi's hurt from a flurry and his legs give out. He comes back and he's throwing with him. Big shots and a right hand clobbers Swanson. Choi looking to tee off as Swanson covers up on the fence. Wild slugfest and now Swanson is throwing back. Swanson hits a much-needed takedown into mount, then the back. Choi regains half guard. Swanson standing over him, comes down with a right hand and lets Choi up. Two minutes to go.

Counter right from Choi, 3-2 from Swanson. Cartwheel kick lands for Swanson, mugging for the fans. Hard lead right from Swanson. Choi cracks him with more right hands. Sharp jabs with them. One minute to go. Body kick and a vicious flurry from Swanson. Incredible blows from Cub Swanson, Choi eats them all. Swanson briefly presses him against the cage, eats a big knee and right hand before the bell. Possible Round of the Year. 10-9 Swanson.

Round 3: Swanson lands hard early. Choi comes back with a 1-2. Another right cracks Swanson, who comes back with a head kick. More jabs from Choi, more body kicks from Swanson, who bails on a takedown. Booming right hand and left uppercut by Choi. Swanson briefly takes him to the fence and eats another right hand. One minute in. Choi tries to drag an exhausted Swanson down, but Swanson reverses into guard. Choi landing elbow off his back. Good right hand by Swanson as he looks to pass. Choi scrambles up, eats a right hand. More big right hands and Choi is hurt. Two minutes in. Beautiful hip toss by Swanson, but Choi returns to his feet. Knee to the body. They are STILL swinging. Two minutes to go.

They take a breather in the clinch. 2-3 by Choi. They're both landing hard shots. BIG counter by Choi. Granby roll by Swanson, exits the clinch with a right hand. One minute to go. They separate. Lead right hand and a huge overhand by Swanson. Another right hand and a Superman punch. Choi is out on his feet and Swanson is doing everything to put him away. Spinning elbow finally sends Choi down but Cub can't finish him before the bell. 10-9 Swanson.

185 lbs.: Tim Kennedy vs. Kelvin Gastelum

Round 1: Body kick from Kennedy, combo from Gastelum. Right hand lands for Kennedy, who ducks a straight left into a takedown. Gastelum gets to all fours. One minute in. Kennedy again slings him down and takes the back in the scramble. Gastelum moving, unable to dislodge him. Two minutes in. Kennedy lands a knee to the thigh as Gastelum stands and moves to the fence. Knees from Kennedy. More knees. Two minutes to go.

Kennedy still has the rear waistlock, battering Gastelum's butt. Gastelum manages to break free and lands a left hand. They clinch up and Kennedy lands an elbow. Both men land left hands. One minute to go. Left hand by Gastelum and they clinch again. Gastelum aggressively pursuing in the final minute and he rocks Kennedy with a combination at the bell. 10-9 Kennedy.

Round 2: Gastelum opens with a body kick. Straight left lands for him. Kennedy barrels into the clinch and hauls him to the fence. Gastlum sprawls on the takedown and looks for the back. Short knees from Gastelum as he looks for hooks. One minute in. Kennedy scrambles up and grabs the rear waistlock. Two minutes in. Gastlum circles off and lands a combination on the break. Right hook from Gastelum. Good shots from Gastelum. Body kick by Kennedy. Right hand lands, Gastelum comes back with a body kick. Gastelum lands a body shot and a combination inside. Corkscrew uppercut from Gastelum and Kennedy takes him down. Gastelum counters the takedown and gets him to his rear against the fence. Kennedy scrambles up. Body shot from Gastelum. Round 3: Gastelum comes out hard. He lands a 1-2 and sprawls on a takedown, looking for the back. Kennedy makes it to his feet and Gastelum lights him up with combinations. Kennedy is slow and gassed. Jab stuns Kennedy, who's unsteady on his feet. Vicious body shots from Gastelum. Straight left again. Right hook. One minute in. Hard 2-3 by Kennedy. Kennedy with a straight right. Wheel kick misses and Gastelum cracks him with another jab. Two minutes in. Body kick and right hand for Kennedy, met by a body kick in return. Desperate takedown attempt from Kennedy. Gastelum avoids it and lands a body shot. Uppercuts from Gastelum and a 1-2 flattens Kennedy. He goes down to his knees and the ref recognizes that he has nothing left.

170 lbs.: Jordan Mein vs. Emil Meek

Round 1: Leg kick exchange to start. Mein switching stances, blocks a head kick and eats a left hand. Meek aggressive early and Mein spins him to the mat with a single-leg. Meek scrambles up, eats a left hook. Jabs from Mein, leg kick from Meek and Mein takes him down into side control. One minute in. Good knee from Mein as he moves to north-south. Meek scrambles back up once again and eats a 1-2. Good right by Meek and he's stung Mein. Mein firing counters and shoots again, no luck. Two minutes in. Body kick from Meek. Mein goes low-high, eats a body shot in return that dings him. Mein with an elbow inside. Two minutes to go.

Head kick from Mein, lefts high and low. Nice takedown from Mein. Meek hits the switch but can't stay on top. Meek may have strained something during the roll; he looks pained. Mein looking for the back. Meek makes it up. One minute to go. 3-2 by Mein and now Meek hurts Mein, flying in with a knee. Mein laughs it off as Meek ties up on the fence. Meek tries a head kick on the break. Good round. 10-9 Meek.

Round 2: Meek comes out throwing. 1-2 falls short. Low kick from Mein in return, counter hook. Mek with a low kick. Left hooks by Mein and Meek flurries. Meek hits a takedown into guard. One minute in. Mein working to sweep, cannot do so. Half guard for Meek. Two minutes in. Meek working for an arm-triangle. Not much from Meek or Mein at the moment. Two minutes to go.

Meek looks for the arm-triangle again and this one might work. Mein bridges to escape, still stuck on the bottom. One minute to go. Meek landing some decent punches from half guard as Mein does very little. 10-9 Meek.

Round 3: Meek still aggressive, marching forward. Mein looking to counter. Low kick from Meek, eats a check hook. Uppercut and left hook land for Mein. One minute in. Meek shoots on the fence. They separate and trade punches. Meek stuffs a takedown and easily counters it into top position. Mein regains guard two minutes in. Body blows by Meek as Mein does nothing to stand up. Two minutes to go.

Mein still a dead fish off his back as Meek lands short ground-and-pound. One minute to go. More work from Meek. Mein tries some sort of armlock and Meek heaves him into the air for a quick slam. 10-9 Meek.

Final result: Meek def. Mein by unanimous decision


205 lbs.: Misha Cirkunov vs. Nikita Krylov

Round 1: Cirkunov southpaw, Krylov orthodox. Krylov busy with his kicks early, low and to the body. Both men kicking. One minute in. Straight left lands for Cirkunov, who eats a body kick. He ducks a head kick and bullies Krylov to the mat. Krylov on his seat against the fence. Krylov holding onto the front headlock, manages to stand. Dirty boxing from Cirkunov, knees from Krylov, who exits with a left hook. Body kick and straight right land for Krylov. Good body kick from Krylov and Cirkunov shoots. Krylov tries for a guillotine but gets spun to the mat. Two minutes to go.

Krylov scrambles up and scores a takedown of his own. Cirkunov immediately sweeps into half guard. Krylov hits a deep half guard sweep of his own to get to his feet. They separate. One minute to go. Good straight left from Cirkunov as he re-enters the clinch. Krylov avoids a takedown, but gets hurt bad by a straight left. He tries to shoot in and Cirkunov locks up an arm-in guillotine for the finish.

Final result: Cirkunov def. Krylov by submission (guillotine choke)


155 lbs.: Drew Dober vs. Olivier Aubin-Mercier

Round 1: Both men come out southpaw. Fairly tentative start, no real contact in the first minute. One minute on. Overhand left by Dober met by a right hook. Dober tries a head kick, advancing on OAM. He gets dropped by a counter but pops back up. Two minutes in. Counter left from Aubin-Mercier as Dober presses forward. Good lead hook by the American. Another nice counter left from OAM. Two minutes to go.

Solid jab from the Canadian. Dober missing on most of his big shots and eats a right hook. Body shot knocks Dober off-balance and OAM lands another straight left. Low kick from Dober answered in kind. Jab and low kick from OAM. One minute to go. Counter left knocks Dober off-balance as he kicks. A pair of lefts connect for Dober in the waning seconds. 10-9 Aubin-Mercier.

Round 2: OAM lands a right hook and gets blasted with an overhand left that sends him to his back. Dober follows him down and gets tied up in guard. One minute in. Aubin-Mercier threatens an arm, then turns for a kneebar and uses it to sweep. He sets up in guard after a brief positional struggle. Dober scoots to the fence and OAM puts in a hook. Two minutes in. A bit more work and he has the body triangle. Aubin-Mercier steadily works his forearm under the chin and draws the tap.

Final result: Aubin-Mercier def. Dober by submission (rear-naked choke)


115 lbs.: Valerie Letourneau vs. Viviane Pereira

Round 1: Letourneau circling around the much shorter Pereira. Pereira falls short with a right hand. Letourneau flicking out kicks. One minute in. Pereira with a right to the body. Letourneau catches a low kick, lands a pair of right hands, and takes top position. She passes directly to mount and Pereira scoots to the fence. Two minutes in. Pereira regains half butterfly guard. Ground-and-pound from the Canadian. Two minutes to go.

Letourneau passes to side control as Peteira holds onto a front headlock. Pereira scrambles up and presses her against the cage. Knees to the body from Letourneau, one minute to go. More knees. 10-9 Letourneau.

Round 2: Letourneau sending out her jab and kicks as before. One minute in. Pereira not offering much thus far. Overhand right falls short for her. Letourneau sends out a blocked head kick. Two minutes in. Fairly dull, honestly, Letourneau flicking kicks and Pereira doing almost nothing to close the distance. 1-2 from Letourneau. Good exchange. Pereira ties up and hauls her to the fence. Two minutes to go.

Pereira scores a takedown into full guard. Letourneau looking to work her legs high for a triangle. One minute to go. Pereira lands a hammerfists and allows Letourneau up. 10-9 Pereira.

Round 3: Letourneau keeping her jab out there. One minute in. It’s not quite Moroz-Taylor bad, but it’s not pleasant. Pereira firing single shots, the majority of which do not connect. Right hand from Letourneau and a body kick. Two minutes in. Straight right from the Canadian. 1-2 from Pereira answered by a body kick. Body kick again by the Canadian. Pereira lands a leg kick and grabs double underhooks, landing a pair of knees. Two minutes to go.

Left hook lands for the Brazilian. Pereira looking a bit more aggressive. Pereira hauls her to the fence once again. One minute to go. Letourneau doing very little to get off the fence, does so with twenty seconds to go. Stiff jab and 1-2 from Letourneau. They finally start trading at the bell. Christ, I don’t even know. 10-9 Pereira?

135 lbs.: Mitch Gagnon vs. Matthew Lopez

Round 1: Quick start to the round. They jockey for position on the fence, both men landing inside. Ganon looks for a single-leg on the fence. One minute in. Double underhooks, but Lopez hits a sacrifice throw. Gagnon quickly pops up and they trade punches. Good combination from Lopez, who gets leveled by a counter left hook. Gagnon comes down and slams home elbows and punches. Lopez desperately trying to stay alive and gives up his back. Gagnon goes for the neck crank, but Lopez manages to spin into top position. Two minutes to go.

Gagnon retains guard. He brings his legs high and Lopez backs up enough to let him up. Gagnon comes out punching and catches a kick for a takedown. Down into 5/50. One minute to go. Gagnon looking for a straight ankle lock. 10-9 Gagnon.

Round 2: Gagnon lands a right hand early. He shoots, can’t keep him down. Knee to the body before they split. Low kick from Gagnon and Lopez hits a lateral drop into mount. One minute in. Gagnon works his way back to guard. Lopez stands over him, avoids upkicks. Two minutes to go. Gagnon trying to set up a triangle. They scramble and Lopez grabs the rear waistlock, punishing Gagnon with heavy blows. Two minutes to go.

One hook in for Lopez, both hooks and he looks for the choke. Gagnon fighting off his hands. One minute to go. Lopez takes full mount and Gagnon works his way to the fence. Gagnon makes it to his feet and gets taken down again, eating hard shots. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 3: The third round opens with a vicious shot to Lopez’s balls. Lopez takes some time to recover before coming back out. Lopez ducks a left hand for a takedown, gets it after two tries. He takes the back when Gagnon hits the ground. One minute in. Gagnon looking to regain guard. Lopez riding well. Gagnon gets to his knees and his feet as Lopez looks for a rear-naked choke. Gagnon lands a knee and elbow on the break after facing him. Two minutes in. Gagnon grabs a bodylock off a Lopez body kick. They separate and Lopez immediately shoots for another takedown, completing it against the fence. Two minutes to go.

Gagnon trying to stand, eating punches as Lopez works towards the back. Gagnon stands with Lopez attached, looking to slip out the backdoor. Gagnon wiggling for his life but can’t dislodge him. One minute to go. Lopez continues fighting for the choke after they hit the mat again. Gagnon slips out before the bell. 10-9 Lopez.

155 lbs.: Lando Vannata vs. John Makdessi

Round 1: Vannata on the advance, looking for right hands. Makdessi pops him with a jab. Nice exchanges so far. One minute in. Quick low kicks from Makdessi. Out of nowhere, Vannata knocks him unconscious with a wheel kick. Heel hits chin with a nice, wooden clunk sound and he goes down in a heap. Damn.

Final result: Vannata def. Makdessi by KO (wheel kick)


155 lbs.: Rustam Khabilov vs. Jason Saggo

Round 1: Two brown-haired dudes with stubble. Thank God for different-colored shorts.

Tentative start, neither man landing clean with his punches. Low kick from Saggo, one minute in. Left hook by Saggo, body kick. Khabilob whiffs on a big right. Combination lands for him. Saggo lands a body kick and eats a 1-2. Simultaneous leg kicks, two minutes in. Head kick sneaks through Khabilov’s guard. Saggo winning these exchanges with his kicks thus far. Overhand rights land for Khabilov and he slams Saggo to the mat. Two minutes to go.

Saggo goes to mission control. Elbows land for him as he keeps Khabilov’s head down. One minute to go. Khabilov gives him a quick slam to dislodge his legs. Khabilov doesn’t get any serious punches in before the bell. 10-9 Khabilov.

Round 2: Both men kicking early. Saggo with a right to the body. One minute in. Saggo switching stances, sending out straight punches. Really not much coming back from Khabilov. Side kick lands for Saggo and Khabilov tries a head kick. Two minutes in. Saggo head kick attempt. Left hook from Saggo met by a hard 1-2. Two minutes to go.

125 lbs.: Zach Makovsky vs. Dustin Ortiz

Round 1: Early knee from Makovsky. Ortiz moves into the clinch and puts Makovsky against the fence. Makovsky brings him to the knee with a quick leg reap and lands an elbow when he pops back up. One minute in. Ortiz looking for knees and elbows inside. Makovsky separates and lands a counter left. Intercepting knee from Makovsky and Ortiz grabs the rear waistlock, dragging him down. Two minutes in. Ortiz gets a hook in. Makovsky scrambles and scores a takedown into top position. Ortiz gets to his feet and another scramble ensues. Ortiz shoots in and brings him down into an awkward spot. Makovsky threatens a Kimura from there. Two minutes to go.

Makovsky catches a knee after popping up, can’t use it. Dirty boxing from Ortiz. They trade elbows as Ortiz continues to grind. One minute to go. Makovsky spins and separates. Makovsky catches a low kick and scores a takedown, looking for the back. Makovsky’s high on the back and tries for an armbar, can’t get it as Ortiz takes top position. Good round. 10-9 Ortiz.

Round 2: Makovsky throws an early hook kick, lands a spinning back kick. He fires a head kick, scores a takedown, can’t keep him there. 1-2 from Makovsky and Ortiz tries a takedown, landing a knee on the feet. Ortiz pressing him against the cage, digging away with knees. One minute in. Ortiz tries a suplex, gets the takedown. Makovsky back up with Ortiz attached to his back. Ortiz changes levels and scores a takedown but Makovsky is threatening an arm. Ortiz gets free and establishes half guard. Two minutes in. Makovsky turns for a heel hook and eats punches for his trouble as Ortiz secures full back mount. Ortiz chipping away with a body triangle. Two minutes to go.

Solid elbow by Ortiz, but it allows Makovsky to scramble back to his feet. Right hand lands for Ortiz. Makovsky tries a head kick and scores a takedown, looking for the back. One minute to go. Ortiz slips out the backdoor and slams a knee to the seated Makovsky’s body. Makovsky again gets to his feet and separates. 10-9 Ortiz.

Round 3: Makovsky goes for an early tie-up but can’t get a takedown. Straight left lands for him. His next shot is successful and Ortiz grabs a guillotine on the way down. Makovsky staying heavy. One minute in. Ortiz loses the choke and uses butterfly guard to sweep to his feet. More scrambling ensues. Makovsky looking for an armbar from an odd position, can’t get it. Two minutes in. They stand and Ortiz presses him against the cage. They separate and Ortiz looks for a takedown. Makovsky reverses and goes for one of his own. Neither is successful and they’re on the fence again. Two minutes to go.

Ortiz brings Makovsky to the mat and takes side control. Makovsky ties up in quarter guard. Makovsky gets to his knees, avoids an attempt to take the back, and stands with some knees to the body. Makovsky grabs the body lock. Ortiz slips out and grabs it himself. One minute to go. Ortiz can’t maintain the back and they separate. Makovsky catches a head kick and scores a takedown. Again, he slips off the back and Ortiz takes half guard. Ortiz tries an americana and Makovsky turns for the leg at the bell. 10-9 Ortiz.
