It’s rare that Dana White takes the time to conduct his once-popular pre-fight media scrums, but the head of the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) league was back to his old tricks earlier today in Las Vegas, Nevada, because, well, the pay-per-view (PPV) event is on a Friday and his most recognizable star, Ronda Rousey, requested a "media blackout."
Gotta' do what you gotta' do!
White held court with several media members to talk all things MMA, particularly the upcoming UFC 207 PPV event, which is all set to blow the roof off T-Mobile Arena in "Sin City" on this Friday night (Dec. 30, 2016). Among the bevy of topics discussed were Rousey's "one-time only" blackout, warning he’ll pull fighters from events if they fail to attend future press conferences, Mike Goldberg’s impending departure from the promotion, as well as the cancelation of the highly-anticipated rematch between Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum, which was set to go down at the PPV event (before this happened).
Check out what else White had to say on those topics and a lot more in the video embedded above.
