She's back! Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will try to shake off a second-round knockout loss to Holly Holm back at UFC 193 when she takes on current divisional titleholder Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Dec. 30 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will mark Rousey's first Octagon action in over 13 months and Nunes' first title defense since defeating Miesha Tate via first-round submission this past July at UFC 202 to claim the title.
But before the mixed martial arts (MMA) world gets one of its biggest stars back, we take a look at one of Rousey's most memorable performances inside of the Octagon. In the above video courtesy of UFC, Rousey takes on Tate in their highly-anticipated rematch at UFC 168 back in 2013. Despite Tate's efforts, Rousey locked down her second career stoppage of "Cupcake" with a third-round submission. It's the deepest Rousey has ever went in a fight and a finish that extended her submission streak to eight straight.
It's a reminder of how dangerous Rousey can be late into a title fight. Nunes will have her hands full when the two lock horns later this month at UFC 207.
