It was a momentous Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon debut for Scotland’s Paul Craig earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 17, 2016) at UFC on FOX 22 live on FOX from inside Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., as he dominated Luis Henrique da Silva en route to a second-round submission win. The finish was Craig’s eighth via submission throughout his career as he improves to 9-0.
After a dominant first round for Craig, which saw him bust open the Brazilian on the feet and on the ground, the high school teacher took full advantage of a tired da Silva in Round 2. Amidst a transition on the mat, Craig threw up a perfectly timed arm bar that immediately forced the former undefeated light heavyweight to tap.

With this win, Craig makes a name for himself in a depleted 205-pound division entering 2017. He’s long, talented and obviously a gamer, so it will be interesting to see what he can do against more established UFC vets.
