Tony Ferguson not impressed by Khabib Nurmagomedov’s ‘padded’ record ... or his sandy puss

Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov flat-out do not like each other.

After several attempts to make a fight happen between them fell through, the Lightweight duo continued their trash talk online, hurling insults at each other any chance they get. The latest instance saw Ferguson question Nurmagomedov’s undefeated record (24-0, 8-0 UFC), saying that his own record is more impressive because it isn’t padded like "The Eagle."

"I'll take his 24-0 record — it's (expletive) padded dude," Ferguson told FOX Sports. "Look at some of the legit fights he's had and then look at mine. I'll take my record over his any day. His record is so padded. He's a paper champ. Get out of here.

"He says that belt is his?" Ferguson continued. "Get out of here. That (expletive) is up for grabs. Unless they take that away from Conor (McGregor) so he better get his (expletive) together."

A few weeks ago, "El Cucuy" did reveal that a fight between the two was seemingly set to go down in early January before Nurmagomedov requested more time to prepare. Nevertheless, Ferguson is more than confident he is the one to put an end to the Dagestani's perfect run.

"For Khabib, you need a guy like me to fight and beat him," Ferguson explained. "You need to put the pressure on, check his conditioning, put his neck in choking territory and really seriously put his heart into contention. See how bad he really wants that fight and wants that win.

"Khabib doesn't have hands," Ferguson continued. "I'm going to out-box this dude. I'm going to be too slick for him, he's flat footed. I'm going to take this dude apart."

When the fight does happen, you can bet it will be for the right to get first dibs against newly-crowned 155-pound champion Conor McGregor. Until then, the two will continue to be at each others' throats ... albeit through social media.
