Knockout! Watch Donald Cerrone head kick Matt Brown at UFC 206 last night

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight title challenger Donald Cerrone continued his welterweight crossover last night (Sat., Dec. 10, 2016) at UFC 206 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, when he took on former training partner and immortal killer Matt Brown. It was a back-and-forth affair that ultimately favored the quicker striker.

The action saw Cerrone attacking the body early as Brown pressed forward and forced "Cowboy" to take on the role as counter puncher. Cerrone landed a big head kick, but Brown recovered, landed a crisp hook to the body and threatened with a tight triangle choke before Cerrone wiggled free. After tagging Cerrone with a thundering overhand right, Brown pressed the action even more. That was until Cerrone landed a timely head kick that sat Brown on the Octagon canvas. After a mutual embrace to start the final frame, "Cowboy" landed one last head kick that sent Brown flying to the canvas in an epic knockout finish.

With this win, Cerrone improves to 4-0 at 170 pounds. Brown was riding a two-fight losing streak coming into this bout, but he remains one of the toughest outs in the division. At this point, Cerrone may very well work his way towards a welterweight title shot in 2017 if he stays away from a lightweight return.
